I have three guilty pleasures: horoscopes, listicles, and One Direction. While the band broke up back in 2016, all five of the guys have officially released debut singles marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
With that being said, I decided to combine the three things I’m absolute trash for and came up with this list. It took long hours of analyzing zodiac signs and listening to (and crying over) these songs, but below are which One Direction single you are based on your zodiac sign, plus a horoscope that may or may not change your life.
CANCER & LIBRA — ZAYN MALIK’S “PILLOWTALK”
Zayn Malik’s “Pillowtalk” is both sultry and passionate, similar to the signs above. Cancers can relate to the single due to them both having an emotional, protective, and loving side to them. However, at times both can can be overemotional and clingy to the point they’re unable to let go, as seen with Malik and his on and off-screen girlfriend Gigi Hadid in the video. Libras, on the other hand, can relate to the song’s romance, while channeling their inner flirt and being self-indulgent. Let’s be real though, who wouldn’t want to be in “bed all day?”
Horoscope: It’s been a stressful week, take a pointer from Zayn and take a day off for yourself to refresh. You’ve earned it.
SCORPIO, PISCES, AQUARIUS— HARRY STYLES’ “SIGN OF THE TIMES”
The most epic of the five singles, Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” is just the song for the passionate Scorpio, Pisces, and Aquarius signs. Like Scorpios, Styles sings a powerful, exciting, and magnetic ballad that holds a flair of mystery behind it touching on the sign’s secretive side. Due to it also being original and honest, it hits all the key points of an Aquarius, while also hitting the escapist and imaginative traits a Pisces has.
Horoscope: A lot has happened this week and you haven’t had time to fully take it all in. Take a moment to reflect, it’ll be beneficial in the long run.
TAURUS & VIRGO — NIALL HORAN’S “THIS TOWN”
Nothing makes you feel warm inside like Niall Horan’s “This Town.” This is the same reason the bull sign relates to this song, as it works with the warmness of the a Taurus’ loving heart while filling its need for security. But the harsh feeling of seeing your lover with someone else hits the Taurus’ possessive and resentful side. Simple, yet romantic, it counters from Malik’s sexy single by being a little more modest, similar to the traits of a Virgo.
Horoscopes: You’ll start feeling nostalgic about someone or something you’ve tried to forget. Try to look back on those memories and take the time and steps to start to move on.
SAGITTARIUS & CAPRICORN — LOUIS TOMLINSON’S “JUST HOLD ON”
This song is the best way to get pumped. After an electrifying performance by the former boy band member on “The X-Factor” just shortly after the death of his mother, the song is nothing short of inspiring. Ambitious signs like Capricorns can relate to this song’s message of being able to do anything, and due to being one of the more pessimistic signs, it may benefit them to listen to this song. Meanwhile the optimistic Sagittarius will enjoy the good vibes this song brings, which matches their uplifting personalities.
Horoscope: That project you’ve been holding off on needs some of your attention. Find some time in your schedule to do something you’ve been putting off, it’ll be worth it.
ARIES , GEMINI, LEO — LIAM PAYNE’S “STRIP THAT DOWN”
The last of the boys to release a single, Liam’s newest track featuring Quavo is one of the catchiest tunes. Its confident, flirty, and upbeat tone matches the personality of the self-assured, fun-loving Leo and witty, lively Gemini. On the other hand, the adventurous yet impulsive Aries will also appreciate the tune’s catchy chorus that’ll give them the opportunity to go out and show off their killer dance moves.
