Last nights debate was filled with many sniffles, one red pantsuit and a lot of “what the fuck?” moments. We shouldn’t be surprised at this, but here we are.

That pantsuit.

Coming in like the shining star she is, Hillary Rodham Clinton, definitely caught the attention of myself, and every person watching the debate who has any sense of fashion. The instant the debate started and I saw her outfit I thought one single thing, “That’s a slick red pantsuit.”

Yes, she made the better outfit choice.

Captain Sniffles.

“Is he sick or something?” my co-worker said to me as we were watching the debate on our breaks. That exemplifies just how unruly and distracting “The Donald’s” constant sniffling really was. Donnie also seemed quite tired, and while it is okay to lose sleep over a “yuge” moment, like the first presidential debate, people expect more from a presidents ability to always be on top of his or her game.

The Whole Global Warming Thing.

HRC totally called Trump out on this last night and it was quite glorious.

Just because he said it almost four years ago doesn’t constitute his ability to dent the fact that it did, indeed, happen. He not only subsequently denied saying this, but if he’s going to try to against fact-checking, he should really stop bringing up Hillary’s emails.

Clinton Calling Trump Out As King of the Birther Movement

This is pretty self explanatory but she thought it was ridiculous, as most people did, that The Donald was so steadfast in his beliefs that Barack Obama was not truly an American citizen and that he needed to release his birth certificate or else. Yea, cant take that one back Trump.

Trump Says More False Statements Than Clinton.

This one comes not too much as a shock, but it happened nonetheless. Trumps serial lying has become so common at this point that it does not even come as a surprise anymore. Sadly however for him, his 34 false statements to Clinton’s four are pretty eye opening.

Lester Holt Accused of Biased Moderation.

Let’s not get into a debate about this debate. Instead, let us look at the fact that this clearly unfair number of interruptions is important. It is important because to fairly depict both candidate as legitimate options, you must then fairly moderate them equally. It is not to say I agree with Trump’s cause, but people do. They voted him so far into that debate and the fact that Mr. Holt tried to stop him, more often than Hillary, is alarming and dangerous to what we may consider a fair and just election process.

Topics Are Being Criticized.

Finally, we have to relate to how the topics, or lack there of in the eyes of Trump and many Trump supporters and Hillary haters in general.

How, if they have been an issue on so many occasions, and at so many levels did these questions not get brought up, at least for a split second? What did they look to accomplish here?

#Trumpwon Top Trending on Twitter.

With a whopping 316 thousand tweets, this is mind-blowing. How is it that this is occurring? Is it the vocal minority sweeping across the land? Or did it really seem like he won? From the onlooker from afar, I can totally see how this debate could have been looked at in Trumps favor. While yes, Hillary did have more of a presidential look and prescience, the biases against Trump seemed to heavily impact the debate to be on himself. Those not actively involved in politics can see this as a sign of weakness for Clinton and strength for Trump.

And I will leave it at that, don’t forget to vote on Nov. 8.
