NSIT Technology Business Incubator (TBI) was officially inaugurated on 9th March, 2016 with the objective of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship at NSIT. It intends to assist students to test their business ideas. Proposal for deferred placement is also being considered to minimise risk for students who may have to abandon their start-ups.

The following procedure was followed when applications were initially invited from start-ups to get incubated in NSIT Technology Business Incubator:

  1. Business Plan proposals were invited from candidates to apply for start-ups under TBI, NSIT in prescribed format. The application had to be sent to the TBI co-ordinator at techincubator.nsit@gmail.com. The format for the application can be downloaded from http://www.nsit.ac.in/…/docum…/notices/startup_NSIT_plan.rtf. Thereafter, the evaluation was done in a structured manner by an expert review committee.
  2. The business start-up plans were then invited for presentations before the expert review committee duly constituted by the competent authority which was followed by a thorough review process. The template for presentation can be downloaded from http://www.nsit.ac.in/…/…/template%20for%20presentation.pptx.
  3. After the review process, two start-ups were incubated at the Incubation Centre- eCounsellors and CherryQuill.

At present, the window for submission of applications is closed. Stay tuned for updates regarding opening of window for applications or any other updates regarding TBI.
