Can you safeguard your faith by yourself? Have you ever contemplated this?

Throughout history, Christians’ faith has consistently endured numerous trials and persecutions. They suffered torture under early kings and faced numerous heresies but the church stood in the path of Jesus.

But then the church got divided into many and those who led away from the catholic church deviated from the the core. Where are they now?

Those who left the mother Church have lost their faith in Christ, leading to countries where people identify as having “No religion” and “No Rules.”

Originally, there was meant to be only one church, but over the years, faith became fragmented, leading many to abandon their beliefs in Christ.

Who has remained steadfast until now? Only the Catholic Church has persevered on the path of Christ through all these faith trials. How have they maintained their fidelity to Christ amidst such challenges?

The Catholic Church endures because it has a protector who safeguards its faith and disciples, much like how David built a tower to withstand rivals and instill fear.

Who is protecting the church and who is guiding them to Jesus?

Let us go back to the Old Testament. Why did David build a Tower or a Stronghold?

In the Old Testament, David dwelt in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built the city roundabout from the Millo inward. (2 Samuel 5:9).

When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, all the Philistines went up in search of David; but David heard of it and went down to the stronghold. (2 Samuel 5:17)

His stronghold(Tower of David) protected him from all the enemies.

Also, Song of Songs gives a reflection of Mother Mary.

Thy neck is like the Tower of David built with turrets, whereon there hang a thousand shields, all the armor of the mighty men” (Song of Songs, 4:4).

According to Mariologists, the “Tower of David” symbolizes victory. She triumphs by offering refuge to the sick and defending her Church against evil, while also protecting believers from the devil’s armies.

Just as the Tower of David was a stronghold against physical adversaries, Mother Mary is revered as a spiritual fortress against the assaults of the enemy.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church says.

Since the Virgin Mary’s role in the mystery of Christ and the Spirit has been treated, it is fitting now to consider her place in the mystery of the Church. “The Virgin Mary . . . is acknowledged and honored as being truly the Mother of God and of the redeemer. . . . She is ‘clearly the mother of the members of Christ’ . . . since she has by her charity joined in bringing about the birth of believers in the Church, who are members of its head.” “Mary, Mother of Christ, Mother of the Church.

Catholic devotion.

In Catholic devotion, Mary is revered as both the “Terror of Hell” and the “Hope of Christians.” This reverence comes from her unique role as the Mother of the Redeemer, who defeats Satan.

With Mary’s care and intercession, believers find strength to resist temptation and overcome spiritual enemies.

Mother Mary is invoked as a reliable protector and a source of strength in life’s challenges. Through her embrace, believers find comfort and courage, trusting in her intercession and the name of her Son, Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord. Ave Maria 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
