A Scenic drive through the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular wildlife sanctuary located amidst the Kumaon Himalayas, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Almora serves as the gateway to Binsar, and the sanctuary is situated at a distance of approximately 33 kilometers from Almora town.
We visited the sanctuary in the month September, which is a wonderful time to visit, as the weather is usually pleasant with mild temperatures. The monsoon season starts to recede by September, so we encountered lush green and rejuvenated landscapes with blooming flowers.
To enter the sanctuary, you will need to obtain an entry permit at the gate. It’s always a good idea to check the entry timings and regulations before you plan your visit.
Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is an excellent place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life. Embrace the serenity, soak in the natural beauty, and relax.
The sanctuary has several well-marked trails that are perfect for nature walks and short treks. The lush greenery, serene surroundings, and stunning views make the experience truly delightful.
Remember to check the weather conditions and plan your trip accordingly. Binsar experiences pleasant weather during spring and autumn, making these seasons the best time to visit. However, always verify the current conditions before planning your trip. Heavy rains might cause some trouble as the roads are narrow inside the sanctuary.
