February 08, 2016: UI Design Firm, Light Halo Video

We’ve begun working with a very talented design firm, Motel, to take our new UI designs, concepts and wireframes, and propel them to the next level. We’ll be working closely with Motel over the next few months to polish these designs, improve the overall user experience and design new screens that we haven’t yet implemented. We’re excited to be working with such a talented group of designers and we know their work will take the Saent app from good to great, and continue to improve the app as we roll it out to more users.

On the hardware side, here’s a short iPhone video of the improved light halo action. As we mentioned in our last update, we added two additional LED ICs to Saent’s internal board, which allow more precise control over the light effect. The result is what you see here: a much smoother transition from start to finish rather than a stepped effect, as well as more accurate color control. We’re still working on finding the perfect top cover material and finish to minimize light bleed.
