Safeguard selected for Startupbootcamp’s ‘Smart Cities & IoT’ program
In this article, Safeguard’s selection into Startupbootcamp Amsterdam’s ‘Smart Cities & IoT’ Program is highlighted. As a result of us being selected, Safeguard will receive office space in Amsterdam, as well as support and guidance from Startupbootcamp’s partners and mentors. These partners include Vodafone, Schiphol, PwC, Amazon and Cisco, as well as a large network of Angel and VC investors around the world.
Separate from being selected for this program, Safeguard is the second blockchain startup to have an official partnership with Startupbootcamp, following WePower, who have since raised over 40 million USD.
In the past few weeks, things have been building up in anticipation of the Safeguard Token presale.
Kicking off on the 7th of June, the presale marks the end of an almost 8-month long process of conceptualising, planning, strategizing and preparing. More importantly, the presale marks the beginning of something far more exciting: the development of the Safeguard Protocol.
With this exciting future in mind, we’re happy to announce that Safeguard was selected last week, out of over 400 startups, to partake in Startupbootcamp Amsterdam’s Smart City & IoT Program.
What is the Smart City & IoT Program?
Startupbootcamp Amsterdam’s Smart City & IoT Program is a part of the leading global network of innovation programs accelerating startups worldwide.
According to the program’s managing director, the Smart City & IoT Program is an incubation program for startups that operate at the intersection points between smart building and smart mobility (IoT technology) on the one hand, and security, sustainability, and efficiency on the other.
What does this mean for us?
Apart from our existing partnership with Startupbootcamp Amsterdam, Safeguard will now, along with the program’s other winning teams, go through an intensive 3-month growth program. Starting on the 2nd of July 2018, the growth and incubation program will consist of mentorship sessions, development workshops, prominent events and strategy insight from industry leaders. The program will run up until its culmination at the Startupbootcamp Demo Day occurring on the 18th of October 2018, where over 100 influencers, executives, mentors, partners and investors will be present.
On top of the opportunities that the three-month program presents, Safeguard will also receive office space in Amsterdam, as well as support and guidance from Startupbootcamp’s partners. These partners include Vodafone, Schiphol, PwC, Amazon and Cisco, as well as a large network of Angel and VC investors around the world.
All in all, we couldn’t be happier about being accepted into the program. Not only does it illustrate the vast support network that we’re building around the Safeguard Protocol, it also shows the extent to which other organisations, investors, and industry leaders believe in our vision.
Ultimately, we were chosen for our potential to make buildings, workplaces, living spaces, and even cities significantly safer. We can’t wait to tackle this challenge and prove ourselves!
