Update on applications to Safepay

As we continue to receive a large number of applications from merchants to use Safepay, we’re reaching out to explain why you are seeing delays from our side.

We’ve been busy over the last 2 weeks making back-end changes at our side . There are a couple of reasons behind this. Firstly, we are switching from our existing acquiring bank. Secondly, we are hoping this move means we’re able to offer greater functionality to our merchants. We’re expecting this to take 6-7 more business days.

As part of this process we have had to pause progressing new applicants to live mode on Safepay. You can still continue to integrate Safepay in sandbox mode to see how it interacts with your system. You can also complete our Know Your Customer (KYC) submission so that when we’re in a position to take the application forward, there are no additional steps to take.
