Your team’s safety is important to you.

Seems like an obvious statement, doesn’t it? Of course you care about their safety — even if it wasn’t your job to do so, you would still want to do everything in your power to make sure that each member of your team was healthy, happy, and largely unscathed at the end of each day.

How do we know this, you ask?

Simple: your team’s safety is important to us, too. Just as is the safety of every other team in every other department across the nation.

This, in essence, was the very reason behind the creation of SafetyCommitteeApp: to help you get a better grasp on your department’s safety. After all, you’ve been collecting safety data for your department for years — remember those incident reports that are sitting in your file cabinet, gathering dust? Well, we remembered them, and we imagined what it would be like if a tool existed that could not only help you keep track of the goings-on in your department, but could also store that data in a centralized location that would be accessible to you at the drop of a hat, wherever you are. Just think what you could do with all that information if it was stored right at your fingertips!

Thinking about all of the ways you could use that data got us thinking even further — what if you could use not only your own team’s data, but the data from other departments as well? How much easier would it be to spot trends if you had the law of large numbers on your side?

This question is ultimately what led to us to create the SafetyCommitteeApp reporting tool the way we did — so you can see what is happening in not only your department, but in departments across the nation. We worked to standardize the data sets, so reporting injuries and near misses when they occur is simpler than ever. That also means that you don’t have to dig through rambling reports when it comes time for you to review the data — you’ll see exactly what you need to know, and nothing that you don’t.

And speaking of things you don’t need to know, we created SafetyCommitteeApp with an anonymous reporting feature that allows your team members to report near misses without their names attached to the report. That means that you’re still collecting the data and keeping track of your team, but your people don’t have to fear for their jobs or reputations. It’s a win-win. And if you’re not seeing those names, you can be sure that no other departments are going to see them, either.

You’ve been looking after your team for years, and the very last thing we at SafetyCommitteeApp want to do is presume that we know how to do it better than you do. We know your team’s safety is important to you, which is exactly why we wanted to create SafetyCommitteeApp in the first place. Let us help you discover a simpler, more efficient way to do the job you’ve been doing all along — taking care of your people.
