Taking the Worry out of Security

It’s only natural to worry about security. In fact, in this age of security breaches and prying eyes, it’s imperative to ask the hard questions: is your department’s information safe from a privacy breach? Whose eyes are privy to those safety records? You’re not alone — we worry about those things, too. It’s the very reason why we designed SafetyCommitteeApp with security and confidentiality at the forefront of our minds.

When we set out to create a tool you could use to optimize the operation of your department’s safety committee, we realized that there were several needs we wanted our web application to meet. For one, we could provide a centralized location for departments to store their data in compliance with OSHA standards. We also wanted to make it simpler and more straightforward for people like you to manage your department’s records. But perhaps most importantly, we wanted to create an application that you could trust to keep your data safe.

A lot has changed since then, but even after countless iterations of the application that would eventually become SafetyCommitteeApp, we’ve never strayed far from these initial goals. We still store your data in a way that makes it easy for you to access, we still allow you to update records with minimal stress, and we still refuse to compromise when it comes to security. That’s why we use industry best practices — to make sure that your data is not only at your fingertips, but it’s locked up tight, warded against prying eyes and privacy breaches.

But it’s not just about outside threats to your department’s privacy — we also wanted to make sure that any data stored is only seen by those within your department who are supposed to see it. Our multi-tiered user permissions mean that we will work with you to customize who has access to what data. This powerful, yet flexible, security layer allows you to grant different permissions to and different individuals in different positions within your department. Handle data input all on your own, or select a few trusted colleagues to assist. And once the data is in there, our privileged permissions mean you’ll also have control over who can view and edit it. We’ll help you decide whether you want someone to have open access to all data, only anonymous reports, or just the data that pertains to them. We designed SafetyCommitteeApp with your team’s security in mind — when you know where to find the information you need, and you don’t need to worry about how securely it’s stored, it’s easier for your team to function as it should.

That is our primary goal, after all — to help you and your team to operate more safely and efficiently. Don’t get us wrong — the secure storage of your department’s confidential safety data was of paramount importance in our development of SafetyCommitteeApp, but the crux of everything we do is — and always has been — you. Your department’s privacy and security is important to us because it’s important to you. You rely on us to store and protect your data, so that’s what we do.

These days, security is not something to be taken lightly — lucky for you, SafetyCommitteeApp is here to lighten the load. Let us worry, so you don’t feel like you have to.
