What’s new in the week of 9/08/22–9/14/22.
While our audits for Saffron V2 are still ongoing and the front end for the upcoming vaults are nearly complete, we have some exciting news to share with the community about KogeCoin, our upcoming town hall, and more! Let’s dive in this week:
Koge Migration Proposal
As we outlined earlier, Saffron is in the process of taking over maintaining KogeFarm and the Koge community. Today we have a new proposal to share that is being put forth by the KOGE community concerning the token’s potential migration to Ethereum and DogeChain mainnets.
You can navigate here to view the entirety of the proposal, read the author’s reasoning behind wanting the migration, and vote on it using your KOGE from the following options:
- Bridge Kogecoin to both Ethereum and Dogechain Mainnets
- Bridge Kogecoin to only Ethereum Mainnet
- Bridge Kogecoin to only Dogechain Mainnet
- Do not bridge Kogecoin to either mainnet
We look forward to seeing the direction that this proposal takes over the next ten days.
Developer Update
Turpintinz updates us on the progress on the Badger DAO integration:
Last week had some interruptions from family visits and a holiday. This put me in the middle of the task of updating the auto-compounding of rewards provided by the Aura — BADGER/WBTC vault. I’ll continue with that effort and complete adjusting several tests for the insurance fund this week.
SFI Emissions Have Ended
As a reminder from last week, our SFI staking rewards have ended. If users are interested in extending the staking rewards — as the contract was written to allow for that — I highly recommend they check out the latest proposal in our governance forum put forth by vd_eth and contribute. It’s currently in the Temperature Check stage where discussion about the specific parameters are just now kicking off before it moves to Consensus Check. For a reminder on how our governance process works, please check out the video below:

Saffron Q4 Town Hall
While we are still waiting for audits to be completed, we’d like to hold a town hall for the community once everything is ready to go so we are able to answer all of your questions about Saffron V2. While we don’t have a definitive date yet — as the timing is contingent on the results of the audits — make sure to check our socials later this month. In addition, I’ll be announcing it on an upcoming weekly as well. We’ll have members of the Saffron team answer questions surrounding V2, our partnerships, new bridges, the future of Saffron, and more. If you happen to miss the event we’ll have a transcript of the Town Hall published afterwards. We can’t wait to see you all there!
