What’s new in the week of 3/04/21–3/10/21.

Welcome to March madness — a month that has interestingly enough been historically rough for Bitcoin. It will be interesting to see if history repeats itself or if the unprecedented adoption rate from institutional investors over the past few months will buck that trend. Either way, it’s going to be an exciting time for DeFi (when is it not?). I’m glad to have you all here on this journey with us!

Saffron V2 is now in Open Beta

Last week, Saffron V2 beta launched on the Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum Mainnet. V2 introduces a host of new features, pool types, BSC capabilities, off-chain governance, and much more. You can see the full post from Psykeeper here. Initially, only a select few users who pre-registered were allowed in but we recently expanded it to include anyone who signed up. We have over 450 users actively beta testing this — so please keep sending us your feedback & improvements in Discord and the specific Telegram devoted to V2 to raise awareness with any bugs you may encounter. All the feedback is incredibly helpful!

Town Hall on Thursday

Thank you for everyone who has been participating in our town halls — you’ve been instrumental in helping shape the growth of Saffron. This Thursday (3/4 at 16:00 UTC), we’re kicking off a very important Saffron Town Hall on our Discord — our main topics will be SFI rewards ongoing, our Snapshot page, and V2 pools. I can’t wait to see you all there and check out what neat ideas you guys have in mind for the future of Saffron!

Community Engagement

We reached over 7,000 Twitter followers this week! Thank you so much! We’ve also expanded to WeChat for our emerging China market!

We’re also opening up a special Discord role for our community — the Saffron Soldier. This is awarded once a week to one of the top users who gets the most Twitter engagement on their post by mentioning $SFI, our Twitter account, or using the hashtag #SaffronFinance (just one of these is fine, users don’t need to do all three). This will be a fun way to engage our community and help spread the word about Saffron — plus, there’s an opportunity to win every week! We’ll announce the winner going forward each Weekly and award the Discord role.
