SAG 2021 — Week 13 Report

This week’s report is going to be short. I’m tired and stressed — there is one week of SAG left before playoffs and much at stake. Three teams can still join the Rubbers in the Leonard Royale. Three more have already locked in playoff berths. Bandits are a mathematical chance of not playing playoffs but its mind boggling unlikely that they’ll miss. Although the fantasy gods do love a temptation…

This week we also welcome TacoCorp as the first ever officially locked in participant of wildcard week. James, congratulations. You can change your Leonard punishment vote to ‘Supportive’. It is also a special occasion so you may smoke in your room.

In league administration news, the elves have been busy preparing both the SAG Report Xmas Special and the SAG 2021 Year In Review. Two very important editions of the SAG report that you don’t want to miss out on. Set your reminders as they are going to be bumper to bumper packed full of the best SAG Report content yet.

Now to the recaps.

Channel4 lost to Gypos

C4NT was away for the weekend and in a display of either hubris or utter incompetence did not check their team on Sunday night before bed. You know, this was a mistake. I was driving by a store window and look in my reflection. I looked like an asshole. Hurts registered a zero, Thielen got hurt after six snaps for another zero and that was all she wrote. Dak got out scored by nine players in this game including both defenses. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Kittle played a good game.

Rubbers lost to Tacos

Tacos got to 7 wins and booked the first wildcard slot on the back of a healthy score spread without the Kansas City Stack firing. This is big news. An ominous sign prior to playoffs to have a lot powder dry in the most volatile team in the league. Lenny F was very good again and yet J Will took top RB honors. CeeDee was strong and yet DJ took out top WR honors. Lots to like about this Taco team. A dead rubber for him this weekend to relax before priming for the wildcard shootout. Its really setting itself up nicely for a very Bradlow Christmas.

Cainers lost to Patches

This got messy. Mr Versatile Patterson was only 0.4 and the Pats D only 2.0 away from Patches going double digits across the board. Patches also had 7 of the top 8 scorers. The gap between these teams is indicative of the respective ladder positions. Patches lock down a week off and we’ll see them week 2 of the playoffs. Cainers will need results to go their way to avoid a Leonard Royale ticket.

Djangos lost to JABs

Bandits had a chance to lock down a wildcard slot but had to knock off the top of the table to do so. In another close one, they couldn’t get it done and on the back JT, Kirk, Lamar and Keenan, the JABs had this one locked away by the end of the Sunday games. The young QB brigade of the Bandits was very impressive, but they’ll need to suit up again in week 14 for what is really a formality to book that wildcard spot. The strong scoring through the season from Bandits has them in the box seat to play wildcard week regardless of the other games’ outcomes. But fantasy has a funny way of not rewarding the worthy.

Final week. Playoffs next week. Holy shit.

4th and goal,

Commish Clue.
