Saga is partnering with Web3 game innovators Cosmic Horizon to help their scaling efforts as they build a space-trading game on top of the Cosmos SDK via the Saga Innovator Program. In coming weeks, Saga and Cosmic Horizon will collaborate to highlight and showcase the innovative work being done to realize the potential of Web3-powered gaming experiences.

Be sure to join our Twitter Space with Cosmic Horizon this Wednesday (July 27, 2022) at 11am PT to learn more about this exciting announcement.

About Cosmic Horizon and the Saga Innovator Program

Saga is building Web3 infrastructure solutions to enable developers to build applications with their own dedicated blockspace. Dedicated blockspace ensures high throughput, no dependencies on other applications using Saga, easy upgradability and congestion relief. In addition, gas fees for infrastructure remain predictable and are by default hidden from the end user, allowing developers to use any token or currency for their applications. The automated deployment of dedicated blockspace will be secured via interchain security by the same set of validators that underlie the Saga mainnet.

Cosmic Horizon is a community-owned space-trading game being developed by Qwoyn Studios, powered by the Cosmos SDK and featuring an NFT trading system. After launching their NFT trading game this year, they are currently preparing to launch mainnet, token and game experience in the coming months. The Cosmic Horizon DAO has 7,500 members, including a 50 person developer channel.

As the Cosmic Horizon team continues on its roadmap to building a sovereign blockchain within the Cosmos, they will be evaluating Saga and the tools that are being built as a potential scaling solution for their own game. Saga’s automated and low-cost provisioning of dedicated blockspace is a way to horizontally scale chains. Once Saga’s AlphaNet is live, Cosmic Horizon will be one of the first teams to test on the Saga platform.

In Their Own Words

“We’re really excited to see solutions like Saga highlighting the still mostly nascent gaming potential of the Cosmos ecosystem — and the possibilities that Saga’s toolset might enable. One of the great advantages of Cosmos is the collaborative ethos and interoperable nature between the galaxy of different chains. Connecting with other projects within the ecosystem enables us to add new functionalities with much less lift, while also creating community alignment. When projects work together, we root for (and at the same time mutually contribute to) the long term success of each other.” William Moglio, COO and Co-Founder at Qwoyn Studios

“It’s only fitting that one of the inaugural projects in the Saga Innovator Program comes from the heart of Cosmos. What Dan Pittman and William Moglio are doing at Cosmic Horizon is truly pioneering work in Web3 gaming. Saga lives to support builders like them and to make sure they have the foundation to realize their full vision for where Web3 gaming needs to go. What Cosmos natives know, and Cosmic Horizon is unlocking for the greater multiverse, is that the future of gaming and entertainment lies in the connection between different galaxies. We are excited and honored to be a part of Cosmic Horizon’s epic journey!” Rebecca Liao, Co-Founder & CEO at Saga
