Saga is pleased to announce a partnership with Red Door Digital, a Web3 project that is developing games through Web3 technology to further enhance the level of entertainment and value gained. They aim to achieve this by reducing user friction with Web3 through studio infrastructure technology and increasing access to communities around the world to participate in Play & Own, NFTs and DeFi metaverse economies.

About Red Door Digital and the Saga Innovator Program

Saga is building Web3 infrastructure solutions to enable developers to build applications with their own dedicated blockspace. Dedicated blockspace ensures high throughput, no dependencies on other applications using Saga, easy upgradability and congestion relief. In addition, gas fees for infrastructure remain predictable and are by default hidden from the end user, allowing developers to use any token or currency for their applications. The automated deployment of dedicated blockspace will be secured via interchain security by the same set of validators that underlie the Saga mainnet.

Red Door Digital’s go-to-market game is Reign of Terror. Reign of Terror is a unique cyberpunk Play & Own blockchain game that weaves DeFi staking mechanics and NFTs into every aspect of the game. In addition to Reign of Terror, they are also developing other games such as Dinohorse Saga, Arctic Apes and Project Synth. Red Door Digital recently raised $5MM from some of the top firms in space such as Maven Capital, Enjin Starter and M6.

In coming months, Red Door Digital will evaluate Saga and our tools as a potential scaling solution for their game. In addition, Red Door Digital wants its gamers to be able to freely transfer NFT assets between different worlds, and Saga’s built-in interoperability through Cosmos IBC will be instrumental towards achieving that goal.

In Their Own Words

“As we develop our suite of games, one of the most important considerations for us is to find blockspace that is free of congestion from other applications. Saga’s unique architecture presents a leap in blockchain technology that offers congestion-free scalable blockspace that is not found in other layer-1 blockchains. As our applications spread out across the multiple blockchain ecosystems, we may one day call our Saga chainlet the home-base from where our expansion stems from. We are excited to be one of the first testers of Saga’s alpha-net as it comes live in the coming months.”

“As we develop our suite of games, two of the most important considerations for us are 1) to find blockspace that is free of congestion from other applications and 2) to allow for interoperability between our games. Saga’s unique architecture presents a leap in blockchain technology that offers congestion-free scalable blockspace and built-in interoperability that is not found in other layer-1 blockchains. Our ambition is to have our games spread out across the multiple blockchain ecosystems, and we can definitely see our Saga chainlets serving as a significant part of that expansion. We are excited to be one of the earliest users of Saga’s AlphaNet after it comes live shortly.” Joseph Derflinger RDD.

“While many well-established Web2 gaming studios are still evaluating the value proposition of Web3 gaming, RDD leapt into this space with all their game design expertise and resources. If Reign of Terror is any indication of what they can do, gamers are in for some truly amazing experiences from this very talented and cutting-edge team.” Rebecca Liao, Co-Founder & CEO at Saga
