I just read an article from a guy in the middle of a newspaper and social media detox. He’s happy about himself, and good for him, but one thing that shocked me is this:

“Stop reading daily headlines, and you are no longer confronted with fake daily catastrophes.”

How dare he call the impending doom of the 2024 YR4 asteroid hurtling towards us at inhumane speed, coming from the dark, deep space with even darker thoughts, a fake daily catastrophe?!

I’m not writing fake articles about it, and I’m certainly not trying to scare people into reading more of them. Does this guy think my mental health isn’t suffering? He seems like the kind of person who would say I do this for money.

“They’re just fodder for headlines to keep us coming back for more.”

Well, newsflash, random stranger who wrote this, if I don’t write daily about the asteroid, then maybe not everybody will know about the RISKS. Maybe not everybody will prepare for the doom that is, I remind you, coming towards us…
