If you are someone who enjoys driving, you most certainly would crave to drive your fancy ride on German AutoBahn (Federal Motorways) and enjoy speeding without definite speed limits. And if some of those of honeycomb routes are leading to somewhere as beautiful and breathtaking as the mountain roads around the Alps, I would any day be all up for hitting the road. So, there you are driving through one of those pitch-dark tunnels with the. regularly spaced lights making the fluorescent markers glow and shimmer. Just when you thought this tunnel would never end, you finally see a slight beam of light at the end. You gradually drive towards your enlightenment, there right in front of you are glittering white limestone peaks of the Alps peeking its way through some of the more closer mountains with dense green cover. The fun about driving on the mountain roads is that they feel like the Vodafone pup – Wherever you go, they follow!. By they, as you guessed it – the gigantic towering mountains. How about driving through one of the most scenic routes of Bayern in Germany, where the. Zugspitze (the highest peak of Germany at 2962 m) follows you at every bend of the way?

Here‘s my suggestion for a quick day trip in Bayern which covers through atleast three panoramic alpine lakes, four beautiful mountain towns, around 250 Kms of drive (depending on your chosen route), a bonus palace and alpine mountain ranges flanking on each side. For a relaxed 2–3 days trip in Bayern please follow next articles for each destination, and for a quick drive through just follow me right away in the following steps:

  1. One can head directly to the highway leading to panoramic Garmisch Partenkirchen district.
  2. Chill at Eibsee (spectacular torquoise alpine lake with Zugspitze in the backdrop) and also stay Eibsee Hotel.
  3. From here head to picturesque mountain town Mittenwald over pretty places like Wallgau.
  4. Next one could drive to Walchensee, which is another spectacular lake with lots of activities as well hiking opportunities.
  5. Lastly, stop by Kochelsee to watch beautiful sunset colours.

Here’s from our memory books a short video about the total trip!
