Throughout the years, there have been many reports of people who have claimed to have seen celebrities who have died, up and about, as if they never left our realm. Whether these celebrities are truly haunting us from the grave or if they are just figments of our imagination is yet to be known.
For some celebrities, death is not the end. Their spirits live on long after they’ve passed away, haunting the living and gaining new fans in the process. Here are 5 celebrities who’ve made a successful comeback from the dead.
THELMA TODD
Thelma Todd was a hugely successful actress during the silent film era. When Thelma Todd died mysteriously in 1935, she was at the height of her career as a Hollywood actress. She had recently starred in the comedy hit ‘’It Happened One Night’’ with Clark Gable and was considered one of the most popular actresses of her time. Her untimely death at the age of 29 left many questions unanswered.
Authorities ruled her death a suicide, but many people believe she was murdered. The case has never been solved, but new evidence has come to light that could shed some light on what happened to Thelma Todd.
Now, more than 80 years later, the owner of the last cafe Thelma Todd was seen at claims to have felt her ‘’spirit’’ presence. Cafe owner Joe Bova says he felt a presence in his cafe and even heard her voice on the day she died. He also claims to have seen her ghost on several occasions.

GEORGE REEVES
George Reeves was found in his bedroom with a bullet wound on his head. The police dismissed it as a case of suicide. However, many people believe that Reeves was murdered. Lucille Ball was one of the most iconic and beloved comedy actresses of her generation. She was best known for her starring role in the hit TV show “I Love Lucy,” which ran from 1951 to 1957. Ball was a pioneer in the world of television comedy, and her work had a lasting impact on the industry.
Since the death of Lucille Ball in 1989, the occupants of her former home have repeatedly complained about supernatural activities. Ball’s granddaughter, Maria Rique, even moved out of the house after just one week due to the eerie occurrences.
Some of the most common complaints include strange noises, objects moving on their own, and unexplained cold spots. Apparitions have also been reported, including that of Ball herself. In one incident, a family friend claims to have seen Ball’s spirit sitting in her bedroom watching television.
While it’s impossible to say for sure what is going on in the mansion, it certainly seems like something strange is going on. Whether it’s the restless spirit of Lucille Ball or something else, the mansion is most likely haunted.
Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe was one of the most famous actresses of her time. She was known for her beauty, her talent, and her tragic life. Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jean Mortenson in 1926. She was orphaned at a young age and spent most of her childhood in foster homes. As a teenager, she married James Dougherty, but the marriage did not last.
Monroe began her acting career in the late 1940s. She appeared in a number of small roles before landing her first major role in the 1950 film The Asphalt Jungle. Her career took off from there, and she went on to star in such classics as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, and The Seven Year Itch.
On August 4, 1962, Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her home in Los Angeles, California. She was just 36 years old. Monroe’s death was ruled a “probable suicide” by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
Monroe’s death is still shrouded in mystery and continues to be one of Hollywood’s biggest unsolved mysteries.
Monroe’s spirit has been heard to reside in the Roosevelt Hotel. The glamorous and tragic starlet of the silver screen, Marilyn Monroe, died in 1962 under mysterious circumstances. Many believe her death was not accidental, and her spirit has been said to haunt the Roosevelt Hotel ever since.
Guests at the hotel have reported seeing Monroe’s ghost in the mirror of her old suite, and some say they’ve even heard her voice. The Roosevelt Hotel is definitely one of the most haunted places in Hollywood, and if you’re brave enough to stay there, you just might catch a glimpse of Monroe’s ghost.
LON CHANEY
Lon Chaney was one of the most talented and well-known actors of his generation. He was known for his ability to transform himself into a variety of roles, often using elaborate makeup to create unique characters. Unfortunately, Chaney’s life was cut short by a tragic illness.
Chaney was born in Colorado in 1883. He was the second of four children born to deaf parents. Because of this, Chaney learned how to use sign language at a young age. He also developed a passion for acting and would often put on shows for his family.
Chaney’s first professional role came in 1903. He played a bit part in the play The stampede. After that, he began to get more roles in both theater and film. He quickly gained a reputation for his willingness to take on any role, regardless of how difficult it was.
Lon Chaney, the famous silent movie actor, died on April 30th, 1930. He was best known for his roles in movies like The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera.
After the death of Lon Chaney in 1930, there were several reports of ghost sightings of the actor. One of the most famous sightings was by his wife, Hazel, who said she saw Lon’s ghost on the stairs of their home. There have also been sightings of Lon’s ghost at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he is buried. Some say that his ghost haunts the cemetery because he was never able to achieve the level of success in Hollywood that he desired.
Lon Chaney died at the age of 54 from throat cancer. Though he was never able to achieve the level of fame he wanted, he is remembered as one of the most talented actors of his generation.
