Scotts Miracle-Gro Looking for Employees at Salem State University

Salem, Mass., February 10, 2017–Scotts Miracle-Gro employee John-Micheal Ciscio is looking for Salem State University students who are interested in seasonal employment for company.

“It is very flexible for students. We do about 50 percent of our business in the spring’s few months. So, in April through June we do about 50 percent of our yearly business in this area,” said Ciscio.

Ciscio’s information table was located in the Meier Hall Dunkin’ Donuts area, on the first floor.

College students and young adults who are looking for a flexible schedule are the demographic being targeted for work.

“I did the position I am recruiting for in college,” said Ciscio.

According to its website, Scotts Miracle-Gro is “the world’s largest marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products.” The company’s website states ScottsMiracle-Gro has helped to grow the more than $5.4 billion “global consumer lawn and garden market.”

“I would definitely be interested in applying for this job because it has flexible hours, which is what I need,” said Sean Clifford, an SSU student who came by the table.
