LinkedHelper alternatives: which tool to choose?

On July 31st, all sales and business development managers received a sad message from LinkedHelper support team. This message urges all users to stop using the extension and ask to wait for the desktop version of the tool. It also says that if you continue using LinkedHelper, your account may be blocked.

What’s next? This question appeared in heads of thousands of LinkedHelper users.

Generally, there are a few options, which are opened for consideration:

First and the riskiest one is to continue using LinkedHelper until the moment when the first account (I am sure, that all sales managers use more than one) will be blocked or restricted. If you are not afraid of losing access to one of your accounts, it may work. Moreover, nobody really knows how LinkedIn will act further. There is a chance that nothing will happen at all. Especially, if you set up very strict limits for your activities. Are you ready to risk? It is up to you…

The second option is to wait for the new version of LinkedHelper, which was promised to be released at the nearest time. This option may work in the case if you are ready to stop your lead generation activities on LinkedIn for an indefinite time…

The third option, which looks like the most realistic and the most secure, is to find an alternative to LinkedHelper. My colleague has written an article, which compares three the most popular tool for LinkedIn automation: LinkedHelper, Dux-Soup, and Lead Connect.

There is also the tool, which is announced to be released in September. The tool is Dooozen.io

There is also the tool, which is announced to be released in September. The tool is Dooozen.io

May be, developers of Dooozen will take into account the case and release their solution earlier.

We asked reps of these three tools if they know about changes in LinkedIn’s detection algorithms and got the following responses:

Dux-Soup Support Team

Lead Connect Assistance Team

We also asked Dooozen.io team for comments regarding the issue and LinkedIn algorithms for third-party tools detection and got the following response:

“Dooozen.io will be totally secure for usage. The only thing that all users have to keep in mind is that they have to follow the recommended limits for their activities on LinkedIn. The reason why LinkedHelper is not secure and why it has problems is that their extension actively interacts with LinkedIn’s page. You have probably seen some buttons that LinkedHelper adds to LinkedIn’s page (author: Add to Helper Button).

There are some other reasons how the extension may be detected but all these reasons are connected to the interaction of the extension and LinkedIn page. So, it is obvious that the issue, which took place, is more about the quality of the development rather than the new detection algorithm of LinkedIn.

In September, all users will be able to check our solution. I am sure they will not have any troubles with LinkedIn”.

To wrap up, I would say that there is no reason for panic. Yes, switching to another tool is not the most pleasant thing. On the other hand, it gives you a chance to review your processes and approach to the way you generate lead on LinkedIn.

Good luck to you and keep your wig on! :)

Best wishes,
