I recently gained the Salesforce certified sharing and visibility designer certification. This is my first architect level certification, and got me a step closer to becoming a certified Application Architect. Below are 3 easy steps which I followed, and would recommend you to pass your exam with ease.

  1. This is the obvious and most important one. All your answers are on Trailhead!
Follow the study guide and complete the trailhead trailmix for this certification: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/credentials/sharingandvisibilitydesigner
  2. There are a lot of questions on Declarative sharing as it has the highest weightage (64%). This mainly covers topics like OWD, Sharing Rules, Profile/Permission sets, Account/Opportunity teams, Territory Management, Community visibility etc. All the general and out-of-the-box sharing and visibility settings in the org. I would recommend watching the ‘who sees what video series’ to get your basics right around these concepts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDYfTfaqclk
  3. I purchased the https://focusonforce.com/ practice tests and did them over and over until I achieved 100 % in all the sections. The guys at FoF have done a great job at explaining the solutions to every question. Sometimes in MCQ type exams, it is important to understand why a particular option is incorrect, rather than knowing the correct option, and, FoF does this wonderfully.

I wish you the very best with your test and in your journey to become a certified architect.
