In August our focus is all about scale and performance challenges architects encounter when solutioning. Over the next month we’ll be sharing how you can ensure your solutions are truly designed to scale the way you intend them to. We’ll also highlight key considerations architects need to be aware of when choosing a data backup solution, an important topic regardless of your scale.

Let’s take a quick look at some of what you can expect.

On the blog:

  • How to Scale Test on Salesforce: Trust is a key tenant of the Salesforce Platform. But nothing can erode trust faster than an application that doesn’t deliver consistent performance. Join Anand Vardhan and Shainesh Baheti from the Frontier Scale team at Salesforce to learn when you should be scale testing and how to scale test using the scale engineering lifecycle so that you can anticipate performance issues and maintain your user’s trust.
  • Why Quality and Quantity of Test Data is Important for Performance & Scale Testing: Generating test data with production equivalent context and volumes is challenging, but it’s important in order to have realistic performance and scale testing. In this blog post Shainesh Baheti will highlight the importance of test data and detail the challenges faced when using synthetic data creation.
  • 6 Keys to Implementing Salesforce B2C at Scale: What’s better than learning from your own mistakes? Learning from Senior Program Architect Leandro Barion’s first-hand experience in this blog post that details hard won lessons following the go-live of a large scale B2C project.
  • 5 Things Architects Overlook When Choosing a Data Backup Solution: Good architects know that data residency, data encryption, restoration turnaround time and platform availability are all important topics to consider when evaluating a data backup platform solution. But what other questions should you be asking? Solution Architect, Arun Sood will highlight five key considerations often overlooked by architects when selecting a data backup solution for Salesforce.
