Five Phase of Design Thinking
Design Thinking is a design methodology that provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. Design Thinking is the ultimate way to find out the problem from the customer end and provide the proper solution.
it is a mindset to approaching the problem.it does not about designing it is all about the thinking to help the company or individual to think differently with strategic options and system impact.it is the combined intersection of business and the design.
It is a human-centered approach where we need to see the problem from the user or customer end. Focus on what they need and who is the end-user.
Design Thinking, Not very much concerned about tech. It focuses on solutions.
The Five Stages of Design Thinking
it basically commands us to think about what the product for and who is the user. Empathy is the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference, that is, the capacity to place oneself in another’s position. Research Your Users’ Needs. The first stage of the Design Thinking process is to gain an empathic understanding of the problem you are trying to solve.
Break down from step one and what we are going to take from that exactly what we are going to work.collect the problems, common problems, challenges, common challenges, and observation. You analyze your observations and synthesize them to define the core problems you and your team have identified. These definitions are called problem statements. Review the history of the issue& remember existing obstacles. Collect examples of other attempts to solve the same issue.
This is an important stage of the design thinking life cycle. Now, we are ready to generate ideas. The solid background of knowledge from the first two phases means you can start to “think outside the box”, look for alternative ways to view the problem, and identify innovative solutions to the problem statement you’ve created. Brainstorming is particularly useful here. here we collect the ideas from past experiences and share the process to resolve the problem in the best way. Brainstorm and Worst Possible Idea sessions are typically used to stimulate free thinking and to expand the problem space. It is important to get as many ideas or problem solutions as possible at the beginning of the Ideation phase.
This is an experimental phase. The aim is to identify the best possible solution for each problem found. Build real, tactile representations for a subset of your ideas. The goal of this phase is to understand what components of your ideas work, and which do not. In this phase, you begin to weigh the impact vs. feasibility of your ideas through feedback on your prototypes.
Make your ideas tactile. If it is a new landing page, draw out a wireframe, and get feedback internally. Change it based on feedback, then prototype it again in quick and dirty code. Then, share it with another group of people.
Evaluators rigorously test the complete product using the best solutions identified during the prototyping phase. Return to your users for feedback. Ask yourself ‘Does this solution meet users’ needs?’ and ‘Has it improved how they feel, think, or do their tasks?’.Put your prototype in front of real customers and verify that it achieves your goals.
