The day started off with the opening of our Cloud Expo featuring some of our all-star partners and exhibitors. Be sure to add the expo to your agenda through the Connections app, and walk through tomorrow morning from 8 to 10 a.m., and again from 12 to 6 p.m.

Good Morning Keynote:

Scott McCorkle addressed CNX attendees this morning following a surprise performance from Elle King. He introduced five customer stories from the journeys of Mattel, Precor, Alex and Ani, Room & Board, and McDonald’s. Talk about customer-focused brands! The keynote ran through the evolution of the Marketing Cloud, with a look ahead at new product and industry innovation for customers with varying needs across an array of industries and brands. Fireside Chat with Seth Meyers and Diane von Furstenberg:

We welcomed Seth Meyers to the stage to interview Diane von Furstenberg for a fireside chat to explore the journey of the DVF brand, personal origin story, and the evolution of personal innovation. In her words, “life is a journey,” and what a resounding message for marketers as we focus on making customer relationships a lasting journey. Hear more!

CMO Panel Pick Me Up:

Our afternoon CMO panel was led by Lynn Vojvodich, Salesforce CMO and EVP, and featured Gary Briggs from Facebook, John Osborn from BBDO, and Katie Bisbee of DonorsChoose.org. There’s a common theme among CMOs and successful brands: innovation. Innovative products, innovative interactions, and innovative leadership lead to successful brands.
