Everything we do here at Salesforce is driven by a deep desire to see you — our customers — succeed. Over the last year we’ve been collecting feedback from our customers on the Lightning User Experience. Through this process we’ve identified three goals that we’ve handed as challenges to our product and UX teams:

Efficiency — Increase density and reduce the white space on the page, improving information on-screen and less need to scroll to get to content.

Clarity — Improve the legibility of the page and make it easier to find what you’re looking for.

Fun — Bring Salesforce’s unique sense of fun and levity to the product. Work doesn’t need to be boring!

We’ve risen to the occasion and in the Winter ’18 release you will see a huge improvement to the Lightning experience.

We’ve improved the legibility of every page by enhancing font sizes to draw attention to what’s most important in the moment.

Content density has been increased to ensure you can see everything you need on one screen.

We’ve added layering to the layout to increase contrast between content cards and the background, making it easy to scan and scroll whilst staying focused on what’s important.

We’re sure you’re going to love it. Check it out and give us feedback at the Lightning Now community site.

We’ll also be doing a webinar on August 23rd at 10am P.T. to show some of these updates, as well as some other interesting Winter ’18 features. Register here or find the recording later at the Lightning Now community.
