There are 14.4 million employees in the restaurant industry, which is 10% of approximately 150 million working Americans. With such a massive market, there is no doubt a high demand for innovative and effective platforms that allow job seekers to be connected with employers and vice versa.

Culinary Agents

Culinary Agents strives to be the “networking and job matching site for food, beverage and hospitality professionals.” They are streamlining the hiring process for the industry starting from the initial job posting to facilitating correspondence to paperwork associated with a new hire. Additionally, it has a client base of over 5,000 businesses and over 65% of Michelin star restaurants utilize their service, which is a testament to how successful of a tool it is.

Harri

This company is looking to be the LinkedIn of the industry. According to their website, “Harri maximizes human potential with a breakthrough hospitality talent management solution for employers and job seekers.” With approximately 2 million job applications submitted and almost 300,000 members, Harri is a comprehensive platform for hiring within the hospitality industry. It allows users to set up personalized profiles to create differentiation and attract employers. It also enables them to filter their job search to find exactly what they are looking for.

Craigslist

While this is not necessarily a hospitality only platform, it is still a relatively effective way of posting jobs and receiving responses. Approximately 60 million people use Craigslist every month in the US alone. With this much traffic, it is undoubtedly still a great way to reach out to potential employees.
