The Big Play

The bricks...
The masks are falling.
The lies...
Even the truth's appalling.

The clock keeps ticking,
and the party's rolling.
The kings are sleepy,
the mice are ruling.

The moon is full up above.
The castle walls - failing.
The place is breaking.
It's so amazing!

One by one, we're creeping
out of the rubble,
spreading our light,
like fireflies
in the dark night...

You look at all the destruction,
and the fallen disguise,
you're confused,
even a little mad...

But we, the actors, keep on smiling,
so certain
that the roles all fit.

The final lesson - to persist.
Trust the process, enjoy the play,
grow your light, and don't resist.

Really,
we all are shining!
