With our current ICO and the attention that is bringing, explaining what SALPay is has become an everyday (or hour) occurrence. If you want to know more about the SALPay financial ecosystem, keep reading.

What is SALPay?

There are 3 main components to today’s SALPay.

The SALPay e-Wallet

An e-wallet is, basically, a digital bank account. SALPay accounts store our users’ money safely and digitally, and allows them to transact from there. But how exactly do you transact, and what kind of things can you do with it?

The SALPay Card

Our current users are getting paid through Salarium into their SALPay accounts, and, after submitting a proof of identity (KYC), they will receive in a few days their very own SALPay Card.

This is a SALPay card.

This card can be used like any debit card; cardholders can withdraw from any of the more than 13,000 Bancnet ATMs in the Philippines, buy at their regular stores, shop online, or use it internationally in both ATMs and points of sale.

But what if I want to send money to another bank, for example? That brings us to our third module…

The SALPay app

SALPay is available for iOS and Android, and it’s the easiest way for any of our current users to:

  • check their account balance and movements,
  • send money to a bank,
  • pay any of their bills (from utilities to airlines to schools, to government contributions, and many more), and even
  • request loans.

And soon, with the introduction of SALPay Tokens after our ICO, we will be able to do much, much more! We already did a proof of concept video in which we show how easy it will be to receive SALs and cash them out as Philippine Pesos, and we won’t stop there.

We have great plans for the SALPay ecosystem to grow in features and scope, and we will let you know about all of them soon. There’s a lot more that we can and will do for our clients, and we’re looking forward to have you along for the ride.

The SALPay ICO runs until December 31, 2017. For more information, visit our website, ico.salpay.com, or join our Telegram and Slack channels.
