While I, like you, endure this quarantine,

Adapting to the coldness of alone,

I fear I’m losing touch with the divine;

I feel estranged, all sense of oneness gone.

This isolation’s shown to me a truth:

That I need people — lots of them! to glow

I need the crowd to dance along with me

While swaying at a music festival.

It’s you I need — not singular, but plural:

Will you, oh world, please be my Valentine?
