Why I love Singapore

I have been staying in Singapore since 2016. There are three reasons why I love SG:

  1. SG is one of the most religiously diverse countries in the world. We can find different kinds of temples, mosques, and churches here. What makes me surprised is that most people can get along with each other even if they are from different races, religions, and cultures. Maybe that’s also one of the reasons why the government chose English as the official language so that there’s no language barrier among various races and cultures.
  2. SG is political stability, neutral, and safest country in Asia. Apart from that, the government is efficient (perhaps that’s why the Trump Kim summit was held here). The infrastructures are organized, transportation systems are completed, and the tax is low. So it’s a good place for companies to set up a headquarters to expand business in Southeast Asia or for foreigners to accumulate international working experience.
  3. SG plays a crucial role to facilitate the economy in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which includes Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar (Burma), Cambodia, Laos, Brunei). Those countries are near SG and it’s easy to travel around from SG.

Thus, I enjoy living here and admire the way the government leads the country.
