During these two months at Samebug, I had the opportunity to learn a lot of new things regarding Computer Science, but most importantly I had the chance to work with a very enthusiastic and hardworking team.
My task during this time was to develop an Eclipse plugin for Samebug and deploy and release it. When I first received the task, it was very hard for me since I had no prior experience with developing plugins and I didn’t even know where to start. However, after researching for a few days and with the help of the team I managed to finish it on time. The task involved some complex parts which I had no knowledge of, like server communication, but I never felt bad about it since everyone was very nice, helpful and patiently explained to me what I had to do.
One thing that I had the chance to see during this time, which I think was the most important, is the dedication required to bring your ideas to life and I did see that everyone in the team puts a lot of effort and hard work for the company to be successful. I am thankful to the team for helping me overcome my obstacles even when they had a lot of work and tasks of their own to finish. It is a great feeling to be able to see a finished product and feel that you have accomplished something and I wouldn’t have been able to achieve that without everyone’s help.
I’ve always felt very welcomed at Samebug, and even though my internship lasted for two months only, I felt like part of the team. For me, Samebug was an excellent and friendly working environment which made me enjoy coming to the office every day, even in the hottest days of the summer.
Besides the knowledge and experience that I gained, I had a great time at Samebug, and for me, it was a summer well spent.
