One of Samebug’s killer features is tips — a short hint to solve a crash, so you can get back to your workflow as soon as possible. In this sprint the goal of the team was to encourage the community to write more valuable tips.

Hot problems

Samebug has a collection of exceptions that are causing headaches for the community recently. These ‘hot problems’ are visited by hundreds, so we invite everybody a bit familiar with these problems to invest some time and write a tip. In order to make this more visible, Samebug now highlights pages where a tip would be appreciated by the community.

If you have experience in a library and want to help others, but you don’t want to hunt for the hot problems, check https://samebug.io/components! Samebug will show you the components with the hottest problems, so you can write your tip where the most people will see it.

Company profile

We are working on introducing Companies on Samebug. We already created the page for Samebug Inc., but there is still a lot to do, so this feature is not available to the public.

The basic idea here is that developers of a company can join to the company account in order to:

  • Make their stack traces private while still sharing it with other members
  • See where they can help to other members
  • Write company-branded tips to increase the visibility of the company.

We have not released this feature yet, but feel free to contact us at hello@samebug.io if you have any questions about it.
