Doctor Who?
As a part-time athlete, whenever I experience muscle pain or bone tenderness I tend to perform a self diagnosis using the internet (via Wikipedia, WebMD, etc .) I have to admit I am too lazy to pay a visit to my doctor if the issue isn’t serious, nor I want to deal with all the insurance nonsense afterwards.
Wouldn’t it be nice if I could communicate with a healthcare professional using the social media?
However, with liability issues, insurance restrictions and privacy requirements, it is hard to image such services will ever exist despite the fact that we all live in a digital world.
Can the healthcare system leverage the social media to increase its efficiency? And where do we draw the line?
