Apple iOS5 vs. Google ICS
“Do you have a Razor?”
Not too long ago the Motorola Razor was the king of cell phone, but if you talked to people the past few days the questions would be “Do you have iOS5?” or “How’s Siri?”
The iOS5 firmware was released last week after the passing of Steve Jobs, Co-founder, Chairman and former CEO of Apple. iOS5 proved to be a major update for mobile devices such as iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPod Touch Gen 3 and up — an update the would make your smartphone smarter (just like Siri — a true personal assistant.)
Though, Android’s new system 4.0 (code name: Ice Cream Sandwich) is going to hit the market this week with the release of Google Nexus Prime. To tell you the truth, I’ve been a very happy Andorid phone user since August and it has impressed me each and every day. I also rooted my phone (Note: I don’t hack) the past weekend so I was able to install a more powerful custom rom CyanogenMod 7.1 (with Gingerbread 2.3.7) for better customization, power management and performance. I’m eager to see what ICS can do (I will update my phone when CM9 with ICS is ready) and who is going to win another war between Apple and Google.
It is an amazing time to be an end-user, just make sure you don’t text and drive.
