Cutting Tie with Blackberry
I’ve been a Blackberry user for more than 6 years — from 7230 to 8700 to Curve to Bold. Two days ago, I finally dropped my Reseach In Motion, literally.
I dropped my Blackberry on Houston/Mercer and I finally noticed my missing BB 10 minutes later. I knew I wouldn’t be able to find it on the streets so I went straight to the store and picked up a new phone. To be honest, I was having an estranged relationship with my Blackberry since I upgraded it to OS 5, and I kept telling people I was going to drop my Blackberry (not literally) for good.
I walked out the store with an Andorid phone.
The truth is, Blackberry is fading and fading fast. I kept my Blackberry becasue I couldn’t type on a touch screen (ironically my new phone is a touch screen phone becasue I am not going to spend an extra $100 on a keyboard.) Since I have an iPod Touch and I’ve been thinking about getting an iPad, buying an Android phone makes too much sense and so far I am very happy with my new relationship.
And rumors suggested that Blackberry will go Andorid in the near future. If you own a Blackberry, it’s the time to sell.
Going back to my Blackberry, a good samaritan actually picked it up and sent it to a New York Sports Club (I go there occasionally) on Mercer. I picked it up yesterday and I am happy to announce that it is safe, and it will show up on eBay sometime soon.
