Fixed Positioning in Web Design

I came across this great article on Web Designer Depot that showcases sites that have fixed positioned elements. Fixed positioning is a geeky way of saying that an element on the page stays in place as the rest of the page scrolls. This can be used for nav bars, headers/footers, logos, back to top links, etc.
It’s a great technique to have in your toolkit, when executed properly and judiciously.
