New FB — A Hot Mess?

I’ve been running the “beta” version of Facebook, featuring the innovative “timeline” for over a week now. My impression for personal use… not so good.

From the user experience standpoint, the new layout is very disorganized (this is my personal opinion.) Do I need my gigantic photos show up everywhere on my profile page? No! What about the timeline? Do I really need to show everything from the day of my birth until now publicly on Facebook? No!

Honestly, this major update has changed Facebook from a boutique store to a Walmart, as it’s going towards the MySpace direction circa 2008. The personal touch is probably gone I am afriad (again, this is my personal opinion.)

Am I quitting Facebook? Probably not since I am not using Google+ at all. This update turns me off but I’m going to live with it until the next major update.
