Wearables can give us a lot of useful information about our health. But now we’re seeing an increase in devices that don’t simply track — they also treat. Quell, which bills itself as “wearable pain relief”, is a perfect example. While the science behind it isn’t new, Quell is transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) for the modern age. Its lightweight sporty design, sleek smartphone app, and focus on the consumer experience make it a breakthrough for the category. And what’s even more compelling, Quell has received FDA approval for the treatment of chronic pain.
