We are happy to announce that Progressive Web App Summit is finally happening this year, it will be a free online and community-oriented event focused on helping everyone succeed with PWAs.
👉 Why?
We created this event to help spread the word about PWAs — how to successfully build them and how to integrate them into your existing web and/or app strategy. We aren’t here to sell you on a particular framework or tech stack; in fact, we’re not trying to sell you anything… the event is free!
👉 Who is organizing the event?
The PWA Summit’s organizers are a group of industry experts that believe in the promise of PWAs as a way to make the web more engaging and powerful. We all happen to work for companies that have the same vision for PWAs, but we don’t think we — or our companies — should be the only ones people hear from on the subject, so we’re organizing this event to enable folks from across the globe to share their PWA knowledge, failures, and insights with you (and us). The PWA Summit is a collaboration between folks from a handful of different companies involved in the creation of PWA technologies: Google, Intel, Microsoft, and Samsung.
👉 What I will learn during the conference?
If you’re only slightly familiar with PWAs, we’re also offering a free half-day workshop the day before the event that will help you get your bearings when it comes to Web App Manifests, Service Workers, the Cache API, and more. Over the course of the workshop, you’ll be writing the code that will take your own web project from zero to PWA. Besides this, we are looking to have a diverse lineup of topics including PWAs in Stores/Bubblewrap/Payment Handling/Distribution, Powerful PWA capabilities (File System Access, Web Share/Target, etc…), Service Worker Lessons, Installability, PWA Success Case Studies and more!
📣 Calling all PWAs experts, stories, and experiences
PWA Summit will be a single-track conference, with each talk consisting of a 20 minute pre-recorded session and participation in a live Q&A session following the talk. We’re looking to draw an audience of web developers and decision-makers who are interested in building and deploying Progressive Web Apps. As this is a community-driven event, our main participant is you! We are looking for speakers with different backgrounds to fill our lineup. Selected speakers will be provided with recording guidance and support, and we will offer presentation coaching for any speaker who would like it. New speakers are not only welcome but encouraged to apply!

An honorarium will be offered to all selected speakers wherever local regulations allow.
