Samsung Internet v23.0 Beta is ready for you, with improvement on the basic usability.

There are many users visiting the same website multiple times without saving it in bookmarks or Quick Access. To provide a more convenient user experience for them, Samsung Internet tries to auto-complete the URL when users start typing any previously visited URL on their device.

Full URL has been autocompleted after entering ‘de’

One more enhancement to improve usability would greatly satisfy users who have experience searching their own browsing history. Some users have faced difficulties in locating specific URLs within their browsing history due to Samsung Internet’s limitation of displaying only the most recent 500 URLs, until v21.0. To address this issue, we have made the decision to remove this restriction starting from v22.0. As a result, users will now have access to an unlimited number of browsing histories, allowing them to search for any URL accessed within the past 60 days. Moreover, from version 23.0, we have further extended the days of saving history from 60 days to 90 days.

We have made the decision to support User Agent Client Hints (UA-CH) for the sake of web developers. We firmly believe that UA-CH can be a valuable solution to protect users’ privacy while still providing essential information to developers, enabling them to offer better-optimized services to their users. This move reflects our commitment to enhance both user privacy and developer capabilities, creating a win-win situation for everyone involved in the Samsung Internet ecosystem

We have more new features aimed at providing our users with secure and convenient usability, all bundled together with the stable version of v23.0. To ensure that each of these features receives the attention it deserves, we will publish separate blog posts to introduce them, soon. Stay tuned for these exciting updates, as we continue our commitment to delivering an enhanced browsing experience for all Samsung Internet users.

v23.0 also updates the underlying Chromium engine to version 115. You can download Samsung Internet Beta v23.0 (on any Android device, with Android O and above) via the Galaxy Store or Play Store.
