Whatsapp Finally Released Group Voice and Video Calling Feature
Facebook-owned WhatsApp is currently rolling out the group audio and video call feature to each of its iPhone and Android users — that was originally unveiled at the F8 conference back in may. WhatsApp rumoured it had been hit 1.5 billion monthly users back in Jan and currently the app is seeing over two billion minutes on calls made and over sixty billion messages sent per day.
“Group calls are permanently end-to-end encrypted, and we’ve designed group calling to work perfectly around the world in numerous network conditions,” stated WhatsApp in a journal post. to feature a participant to a call, you just need to click on the “add participant” button at the top-right corner of the app. That participant then receives a notification to join the group call and the participant can decide whether or not to simply accept or decline the invite.
