We’re just two days away from the dawn of whole new era of Samurai Starter, with the official launch of $SAM. Today we’re excited to announce that, from day one, the $SAM token will have a whole added layer of bonus utility through V1 of the Samurai Sanka community platform!

We have a ton of special giveaways lined up to celebrate the token and platform launch: airdrops, NFTs, and more. In this article, we’ll be introducing you to the Samurai Points system — which forms the foundation of the Sanka platform — and explaining how you can maximize your odds of winning these lucrative prizes using your $SAM.

The Prizes

We’re officially kicking off Season 1 of our Samurai Sanka community interaction platform with a host of giveaways to celebrate our TGE. These prizes will only be available to those who stake their $SAM tokens on the Samurai Starter website or provide DEX liquidity. The more tokens you stake, the better your odds!

We have over $10,000 in prizes lined up from six different partner projects, all dropping in the weeks following the $SAM TGE. We’ll be kicking off quickly with a giveaway of 2,000,000 $CATA tokens from our friends at memecoin Catamoto, in a special lottery happening this Sunday (April 28)!

Our other prizes on the table include:

RedCurry: a drop of their $CURRY governance tokens.
FUNToken: an airdrop of their $FUN token.
Aerodrome DEX: veAERO rewards locked by us and distributed to you — a free yield farming opportunity (more on this one later)

What Are Samurai Points (and How do I Get Them)?

Part platform rewards, part badge of honour: your Samurai Points (SP) prove your level of dedication to the Samurai Starter platform. Over the coming months and years, these points will be used to allocate special rewards to our most loyal and engaged followers.

You’ll be able to earn SP in a range of different ways:

Staking $SAM tokens (the fastest and most lucrative method).
Providing $SAM DEX liquidity
Participating in IDOs.
Engaging with our social media posts.
And more to come!

As you build up a bag of points, you’ll be able to use them to participate in exciting giveaways sourced from our huge network of partner projects. We’ll also be revealing more bullish utilities for these rewards tokens as the Samurai Sanka platform continues to grow and develop.

Getting Started

To start stacking SP and enjoy automatic entry to our upcoming prize draws, all you need to do is lock up a minimum of 30,000 $SAM after our TGE later this week — the same amount needed to access the lowest launchpad tier. You’ll be able to do this on the Tokens page on our site.

Over the course of the lock period, you’ll continually receive Samurai Points credited to your account on the platform. You can choose to lock up larger amounts of $SAM to farm points faster — the more you stake, and the longer you lock for, the more Samurai Points you’ll rack up each day!

These points are not a separate crypto token — they’re platform reward points which are linked to your wallet address, and non-transferrable. There’ll be a range of different ways to use (and monetize) your Samurai Points in the future.

For now, their main utility is access to our upcoming big-money giveaways. The more Samurai Points in your balance, the higher chance you’ve got of winning. Simple!

So how can you maximise your SP bag and ensure the best odds in the lotteries? Well, you can make use of…

Longer Lockups for Lucrative Multipliers

When staking your $SAM on the Samurai Starter website, you’ll be able to choose exactly how long you want to lock your tokens up for. This will directly determine the rate at which you earn Samurai Points.

If you choose the lowest lockup period of three months, you’ll receive SP 1:1 with your $SAM. That means if you stake the minimum of 30,000 $SAM for three months, you’ll earn 30,000 SP (released linearly across the three month lockup period).

If you want to boost your odds and climb the Samurai Points leaderboard faster, then you can opt for a longer lockup with a sweet points multiplier attached! Here’s a quick reference chart showing the multipliers achieved with the different lockup periods, along with some example stakes:

As you can see, longer lockups mean that you’ll get a boost to the rate you acquire Samurai Points. Commit for 12 months to bag a maximum 9x multiplier! These multipliers give a big edge over the competition which compounds with time.

More Ways to Earn Samurai Points

Across the coming weeks and months, there will be a range of additional ways to earn bonus Samurai Points. In fact, you can already earn a bonus 1,000 SP by retweeting our Sanka launch announcement and sharing your details with us here.

And as a special thank you to everyone who’s supported the launchpad so far, we’ll be adding a bonus 500 Samurai Points to your starting balance for each token sale participated in. If you contributed to all five of our IDOs this year, you’ll get a nice 2,500 SP bonus to kickstart your hoard!

The Prize Draws

Once you’ve got a fat stack of Samurai Points piling up, the next thing you need to do is… nothing. Just lay back and enjoy automatic entry into every prize draw in our TGE campaign!

You’ll be able to check your points balance on the Tokens page on the Samurai Starter website. Before each giveaway, we’ll take a snapshot of all SP balances — every 1000 points will equal one ticket in the raffle. If you have 5,000 points, you get 5 tickets; 10,000 points, 10 tickets; and so on.

We’ll then draw the winners from the pool of Samurai Points holders and release a list of winning wallet addresses on Twitter and Telegram. If your address is one of the lucky ones, you can contact the Samurai team to claim your prize! Details of exactly how to do so will be included in each prizewinner announcement.

Remember, your Samurai Points will build up over time, so those who lock their tokens early (and for a longer lockup period) will have a greater chance of winning.

What’s Next for Samurai Sanka?

Our TGE campaign giveaways are just the first step for Samurai Sanka — we have so much more in the pipeline. Season 1 will last for a full three months, and will feature many more exciting giveaways as we bring more and more partner projects into the Samurai family.

We also have exciting plans to develop the platform further in future. With Season 2, we aim to implement a bunch of new features to make the participation process even easier (and even more fun):

Spendable Points: you’ll be able to choose which giveaways you want to participate in, and spend as much (or as little) as you want on tickets for each draw.
Sanka Dashboard: a user-friendly page featuring all upcoming giveaways, where you can buy raffle tickets using SP and check the results directly on the platform.
Twitter Integration: interact with our tweets to farm SP, which will be automatically added to your balance.
Clash of Clans: old rivalries will be rekindled with the reintroduction of the Tokugawa, Ashikaga, and Minamoto clans from our Zealy campaign — pledge your allegiance and compete to win special prizes for your clan!
