What is the Bushido

The “Way of the Warrior” or, to put it more briefly, the samurai class’s code of conduct. Justice, courage, mercy, respect, honesty, honor, loyalty, and self-control were virtues possessed by people who upheld the code. According to Bushido, a samurai must perform ceremonial death (known as seppuku) as atonement if he neglects his obligations. Seppuku is viewed as a brave deed that effectively makes up for any shortcomings or errors the samurai may have made.
