विष्णोः शतनामस्तोत्रम्
श्री गणेशाय नमः ।
नारद उवाच ।
ॐ वासुदेवं हृषीकेशं वामनं जलशायिनम् ।
जनार्दनं हरि कृष्णं श्रीवक्षं गरुडध्वजम् ॥१॥
He who hides world by illusion truly,
He who controls his five senses fully,
He who is a dwarf, lies on water clearly,
He who troubles bad people certainly.
He who remover of death and birth be,
He who is pitch black undoubtedly,
He who on the side of Lakshmi be,
Who has Garuda on his flag plainly.
वाराहं पुण्डरीकाक्षं नृसिंहं नरकान्तकम् ।
अव्यक्तं शाश्वतं विष्णुमनन्तमजमव्ययम् ॥२॥
He is a boar, who eyes as lotus be,
He the man-lion, He ends hell finally,
He unclear to us, who permanent be,
He is Vishnu — endless, unchanging be.
नारायणं गदाध्यक्षं गोविन्दं कीर्तिभाजनम् ।
गोवर्धनोद्धरं देवं भूधरं भुवनेश्वरम् ॥३॥
He born of water, expert in mace be,
He looks after all, who of one fame be;
He the Lord — lifted Govardhan easily,
He lifted earth, He Lord of universe be.
वेत्तारं यज्ञपुरुषं यज्ञेशं यज्ञवाहकम् ।
चक्रपाणिं गदापाणिं शङ्खपाणिं नरोत्तमम् ॥४॥
He meditated by sages, by Yagnas be,
He Yagna Lord and Yagna vehicle be,
He holds the wheel and mace clearly,
Who holds conch — He the greatest be.
वैकुण्ठं दुष्टदमनं भूगर्भं पीतवाससम् ।
त्रिविक्रमं त्रिकालज्ञं त्रिमूर्तिं नन्दिकेश्वरम् ॥५॥
He lives in Vaikunta, controls bad fully,
Wears red cloths, holds earth in tummy,
Is Trivikrama — He past, present, future be,
Lord of Yadavas — He is the holy trinity.
रामं रामं हयग्रीवं भीमं रौद्रं भवोद्भवम् ।
श्रीपतिं श्रीधरं श्रीशं मङ्गलं मङ्गलायुधम् ॥६॥
He Sri Rama, Parasu Rama, Hayagreeva be,
He gross, angry, produced before all be,
He who carries and Lord of Lakshmi be,
He does good with weapons for good only.
दामोदरं दमोपेतं केशवं केशिसूदनम् ।
वरेण्यं वरदं विष्णुमानन्दं वसुदेवजम् ॥७॥
He tied by rope in belly, cuts bondage fully,
He has pretty hair, slayed asura Kesi truly,
He who be prayed to, who blesses surely,
He is Vishnu, joy, who Vasudeva’s son be.
हिरण्यरेतसं दीप्तं पुराणं पुरुषोत्तमम् ।
सकलं निष्कलं शुद्धं निर्गुणं गुणशाश्वतम् ॥८॥
He has golden virility, enlightens, ancient be,
He greatest, everything and stainless be,
He is pure, who has not any properties,
He who has astable characters certainly.
हिरण्यतनुसङ्काशं सूर्यायुतसमप्रभम् ।
मेघश्यामं चतुर्बाहुं कुशलं कमलेक्षणम् ॥९॥
He has a gold body, shines like Sun truly,
He is black like cloud, with four hands be,
He who is always all right unquestionably,
He who has lotus like eyes indisputably.
ज्योतीरूपमरूपं च स्वरूपं रूपसंस्थितम् ।
सर्वज्ञं सर्वरूपस्थं सर्वेशं सर्वतोमुखम् ॥१०॥
He as flame, who without any shape be,
He has form — blessed with good form be,
He knows all, assumes all forms easily,
He God of all, sees in all directions fully.
ज्ञानं कूटस्थमचलं ज्ञानदं परमं प्रभुम् ।
योगीशं योगनिष्णातं योगिनं योगरूपिणम् ॥११॥
He is wisdom, stable and who is steady,
He who is wise, divine, who the Lord be,
He chief of Yoga, ultimate lord of Yoga be,
He the Yogi, who embodiment of Yoga be.
ईश्वरं सर्वभूतानां वन्दे भूतमयं प्रभुम् ।
इति नामशतं दिव्यं वैष्णवं खलु पापहम् ॥१२॥
He who the God of all the beings be,
Salutations to Him who pervades universally,
These the hundred names of Vishnu be,
Which removes all the sins specially.
व्यासेन कथितं पूर्वं सर्वपापप्रणाशनम् ।
यः पठेत्प्रातरुत्थाय स भवेद्वैष्णवो नरः ॥१३॥
This which was told by Vyasa long ago,
Which kills all sins unquestionably,
If read early in the morning devotedly,
He would become a man of Vishnu truly.
सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा विष्णुसायुज्यमाप्नुयात् ।
चान्द्रायणसहस्राणि कन्यादानशतानि च ॥१४॥
गवां लक्षसहस्राणि मुक्तिभागी भवेन्नरः ।
अश्वमेधायुतं पुण्यं फलं प्राप्नोति मानवः ॥१५॥
He purified from sins, one with Vishnu be,
Get effects of a thousand Chandrayanas truly,
And performing marriages, gifting cows many,
And Aswamedha Yaga — who recites devotedly.
। इति श्रीविष्णुपुराणे विष्णुशतनामस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ।
