Shri Guru Paduka Strotam
Shri Adi Shankaracharya was travelling in search of His Guru. When walking across the river Narmada, He saw the padukas in front of the cave. He instantly realized those as His Guru’s paduka.
On finding His Guru, Shri Adi Shankaracharya composed Guru Paduka Stotram honoring the Paduka of His Guru, Sri Govind Bhagavatpada.
अनन्तसंसार समुद्रतार नौकायिताभ्यां गुरुभक्तिदाभ्याम् ।
वैराग्यसाम्राज्यदपूजनाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ १ ॥
कवित्ववाराशिनिशाकराभ्यां दौर्भाग्यदावां बुदमालिकाभ्याम् ।
दूरिकृतानम्र विपत्ततिभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ २ ॥
नता ययोः श्रीपतितां समीयुः कदाचिदप्याशु दरिद्रवर्याः ।
मूकाश्र्च वाचस्पतितां हि ताभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ३ ॥
नालीकनीकाश पदाहृताभ्यां नानाविमोहादि निवारिकाभ्याम् ।
नमज्जनाभीष्टततिप्रदाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ४ ॥
नृपालि मौलिव्रजरत्नकान्ति सरिद्विराजत् झषकन्यकाभ्याम् ।
नृपत्वदाभ्यां नतलोकपङ्कते: नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ५ ॥
पापान्धकारार्क परम्पराभ्यां तापत्रयाहीन्द्र खगेश्र्वराभ्याम् ।
जाड्याब्धि संशोषण वाडवाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ६ ॥
शमादिषट्क प्रदवैभवाभ्यां समाधिदान व्रतदीक्षिताभ्याम् ।
रमाधवान्ध्रिस्थिरभक्तिदाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ७ ॥
स्वार्चापराणाम् अखिलेष्टदाभ्यां स्वाहासहायाक्षधुरन्धराभ्याम् ।
स्वान्ताच्छभावप्रदपूजनाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ८ ॥
कामादिसर्प व्रजगारुडाभ्यां विवेकवैराग्य निधिप्रदाभ्याम् ।
बोधप्रदाभ्यां दृतमोक्षदाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥९ ॥
On my few days visit to Ashram, I have seen many beautiful soul’s devotion towards Swamiji’s paduka. Every morning, one kind and beautiful soul visit temple and offer flowers at Swamiji’s paduka without fail. Other day, one person was holding paduka closer to the heart with the eyes welled up with tears, I cannot even express this bhav clearly which I observed that day and almost every evening seeing many devotees during Aarti. Thank you for giving me this opportunity Guru Bhagwan, I humbly bow down at Your paduka.

Thank you for guiding and showing the path with your immense knowledge and compassion,
With the mind full of conditions, Thank you for helping us to shed our conditioned knowledge,
You have fulfilled our wishes with your blessings and yet showed us the real path to give up desires,
Immense gratitude for showing us to overcome the oceans of ignorance,
Mentally and Humbly, I hold your paduka at my crown .
