Partnership Announcement: The Sandbox ft. Planetarium

We are happy to announce that we are partnering with Planetarium, an open source blockchain platform. Planetarium aims to deliver community-powered online games to the masses!

Planetarium is an independent South Korean blockchain game studio driven by the passion of making games. The studio has created an open source blockchain core for the Unity game engine, and is planning on launching Nine Chronicles, their new decentralized RPG, in early 2020.

To further develop Planetarium’s blockchain technology and accelerate the game’s authoring tool, the studio joined the Ubisoft Entrepreneurs Lab at the end of last year and has already attracted seed investment from South Korean VCs. Planetarium expects its open-source platform to be used by developers to create rich, decentralized worlds..

At the heart of this ambitious partnership, Planetarium will be working on the Game Engine and will also take part in the Game Maker Fund project, the latter being The Sandbox visual scripting tool that allows players to create games within its ecosystem. Planetarium plans on developing a voxel content in the LAND using their game IPs.
