The Sandbox LAND Presale is LIVE!
Players and creators can now purchase LAND, the digital space where voxel-based gaming experiences can be created
The Sandbox, the decentralized blockchain game-building metaverse, is very proud to announce that today begins the first round of its LAND Presale, from December 5th, 2019 at 1 PM GMT.
The Sandbox offers a persistent, interactive virtual metaverse, a 3D voxel universe created by players and secured through blockchain technology. LANDS are the unique digital locations in this metaverse where players can build and monetize games. They’re the fundamental building block upon which game ASSET (items and scripting) can be imported to create original interactive experiences. LANDS can be combined into larger square groupings (ESTATES) to permit more ambitious game experiences.
There are only 166,464 LANDS in the metaverse, with the scarcity and uniqueness of each LAND verifiable through blockchain technology. Presale purchasers of LANDS will be able to create the very first gaming experiences on the platform with the potential to gain first mover advantage for player attention.
Each of the +166K LANDs will be tokenized as a ERC-721 non-fungible token (NFT) that enables, using the transparency of the public distributed ledger, tracking of the uniqueness of each LAND and true digital ownership including the ability to sell or rent out LANDS without any third-party interference.
This LAND Presale will be the first chance for players, creators, and crypto enthusiasts to obtain a piece of The Sandbox metaverse, at a very favorable price. During the 15-day event, participants will be allowed to buy LAND (with ETH), and purchase exclusive ASSETS (NFTs), i.e., game items such as characters, animals, monuments, buildings, trees, tools, etc. to populate game experiences.
This initial LAND presale event is the first of five consecutive rounds. Each presale round will feature a percentage of the total LAND supply. The 40% discount on the 2.5% available in this first round is the largest discount, with the prices for LAND parcels increasing with each additional round.
Players can benefit from their LAND ownership in multiple ways including monetizing game experiences on their LAND, virtual real estate investment, renting their LAND, and staking.

Additionally, top decentralized games like MyCryptoHeroes, Axie Infinity, CryptoWars, and Battle Racers and industry partners such as Klaytn, OpenSea, Bitski, Dapp.com, and DappRadar have signed on. These partners will claim a stake in The Sandbox metaverse and secure their own virtual real estate to build game experiences either themselves or through their fan communities that can be experienced upon the public launch of the platform in 2020.
