The Sandbox Summer Jam LAND sale — Wave 3
Incoming! A wave of freshness is coming with the third Summer Jam LAND sale, this week on Thursday July 8th at 1PM UTC.
During this wave you will have a chance to purchase some of the 300 LANDs and 100 Premium LANDs available around three new partners. You will also have the opportunity to bid on the 2 ESTATEs that will be auctioned on OpenSea.
As of this LAND sale onward we will make a few changes to our sale formula that we have detailed here. Read on to learn all the exciting things that are coming to the metaverse starting July 8th at 1PM UTC.

LAND Sale improvements
Following feedback, we received from the community we have decided to tweak how our LAND sales are operated. The main goal with these changes is to ensure that, from here on out, our LAND sales run smoother and are fairer to everyone:
- Our server capacity will be updated to handle the number of users simultaneously present on the map.
- Extra security checks on Cloudflare Enterprise CDN to make sure all transactions are human.
- Starting on Wave 3: to improve map loading, we will be creating a new view on the map that only loads the area of the sale. (see below)
- Starting on wave 4 at the earliest: We will start testing a queueing system that will make LAND distribution fairer so that the speed of clicking is no longer the main criterion to get a LAND. This new feature will require heavy testing and won’t be implemented during this third wave.

Roxel
Roxel is a collection of 250 animated and customizable voxel robot avatars thus allowing the community to customize their robot voxel avatars or even build them from scratch. The particularity of these roxels is that they are interoperable at multiple levels and designed to be used on the metaverse as they are already rigged and easy to port to a platform or a game making their move to The Sandbox all that more easy and fun! Their 3x3 ESTATE will be settled at the -24,114 coordinates above a The Sandbox reserved 6x6 ESTATE.
McDull
The outgoing cartoon pig that never gives up is travelling from Hong Kong to our metaverse this summer. Its voxelized 3D version is one of the five NFT are bundled with our premium LANDs. Their 3x3 ESTATE is primely located close to a 24x24 The Sandbox ESTATE, above the first 6x6 ESTATE on auction during this sale and below a 3x3 The Sandbox ESTATE.
Shrine of Truth
Shrine of Truth is an experience that is part of the collaboration between two teams from our Creator Fund: Light Trail Adventures and Sand Rush. You can spot their 3x3 ESTATE located at the -3,138 coordinates, to the left of the second 6x6 ESTATEs that will be auctioned on OpenSea.
Premium LANDs
The 100 Premium LANDs that will be up for sale during this third wave are all conveniently located close to our partners, The Sandbox owned ESTATE and the ESTATEs that will auctioned on OpenSea.
