An Incentive System for a New Era of Giving & An Unexpected Partnership
We are now on week #3 of full blown activities following our Phase I sale, and we are truly excited by the pace our team has moved forward. With utmost agility and focus on delivering remarkable solutions, our business team has continued to push the envelope, elevating the scope of opportunities that will emerge from Sandclock. On the technology side, the preliminary audit of our $QUARTZ token and Ethereum strategy is underway and our Terra vault and complex strategy implementation continues to surprise us with incredible results. Today, we are delighted to shift the focus a bit and unveil Sandclock’s full incentive system, as well as announcing a valuable collaboration.
Sandclock’s vault architecture splits Principal from Yield, allowing you granular control of your funds: amplified traditional donations, zero-loss donations, perpetual endowments, and similarly, the same concepts apply to investments through our launchpad. Let us then start by quickly summarizing the incentives to charitable giving that have already been talked about, followed by the new ones, and an incredibly exciting and unexpected partnership.
1. Charity Mining
When you donate through Sandclock, our crosschain relayer will temporarily allocate $QUARTZ tokens to you (or a wallet of your choice!), conferring you all the rights a $QUARTZ token holder has, for as long as your principal remains in our vault. Airdrop to $QUARTZ holders? You get it too. Voting on important matters such as treasury management on our DAO? So can you.
This is the non-dilutive, non-inflationary way of rewarding donors that we came up with, created by Sandclock exclusively for Sandclock. For all the nitty gritty details, check out our article on the matter here.
2. Project Zircon: NFT Tax Receipts
Most federal governments around the world permit individuals and corporations to reduce their income tax by allowing them a credit (or income deduction) for donations to local charities. Sandclock will be no different in this regard, but now you can optimize your taxes at no cost to you, through zero-loss donations…or any other type of donation that we offer. No matter which one you choose, the benefits are amplified compared to traditional giving, what we at Sandclock refer to as “Philanthropy 1.0”. Meanwhile, Sandclock is reimagining giving with the creation of what we call “Philanthropy 3.0”.
Donate through Sandclock, at maturity claim your nameless tax NFT, burn it when you’re ready to claim your charitable tax receipt off-chain, we’ll handle the rest.

3. Raffle System
Every quarter there will be a raffle. A dollar donated through Sandclock equals a raffle ticket.
What can you win? Anything:
Money Lottery
Sandclock is teaming up with PoolTogether to create a new Charitable type of Lottery!
In this new type of Lottery, 50% of the proceeds will go to the winner of the pool… 25% to the winner of Sandclock’s quarterly raffle, and 25% will go to a charity of the PoolTogether winner’s choice, entitling them to receiving an NFT Tax Receipt to optimize their taxes!
NFT Art
Sandclock will reach out to (and compensate) prominent artists in the NFT space and elsewhere… all different types of artists… more on this at a later date.
4. Physical Gift + its corresponding NFT
Sandclock’s Giving will have tiers. Give more, and unlock more rewards. Each milestone will reward you with increasingly scarce assets, and rarer usually also means more valuable.
5. NFT Titles
Always a fun thing to brag about and even better when based on your goodwill and generous giving. Also backed by a tier system, every donation will be accompanied by a title.
