Living Your (Best) Life With Wallets #7
In our latest #LivingYourBestLife, we meet Dolapo Omidire and Ali Djire who own OmiDjire, a kayak business in Lagos.

OmiDjire was founded in May 2018.
The pair met at Workstation (a co-working space for entrepreneurs) in 2017.
They started OmiDjire (a combination of their surnames, Omidire and Djire) this year, and did it to raise money for their West African Travel adventure which they have now completed. They visited 8 African countries in 17 days, largely by road.

OmiDjire and Wallet
Dolapo Omidire from OmiDjire:
“I think Wallet is definitely a great tool for business. As you know, my friend and I started a kayak business where we rent kayaks to our customers. Over the past few months, we’ve done over a hundred and fifty people and each of them have different payment preferences.
One of the really good ways we’ve been able to collect the money is through Wallet because people have been able to just download the app, fund their Wallets and transfer money instantly, or at least avoid longer processes.
Typically, we don’t like collecting cash because my friend would spend it or I would spend it so it’s better we just have it on a separate place where it’s safe and we have kept our money there throughout so it’s been very helpful.”
Wallet plays a huge role in facilitating payments for their business with less charges than normal.
Dolapo and Ali have had a fantastic experience with Wallet and we are very glad to have them onboard. 💃🏽💃🏽
